SUNY Oswego Special Collections

State University of New York at Oswego campus is located on beautiful Lake Ontario with stunning sunset views. In 1861 Dr. Edward Austin Sheldon, seen at left, founded and was first principal of the Oswego Normal School. He was also a member of the first graduating class.

Penfield Library's Special Collections houses two main collections of historical material: the College Archives and Local History material related primarily to the city and county of the Oswego, New York.
