	Browse This portion of the site distinguishes the five ways in which users can traverse through the records and information in the site.

A-Z : A-Z is a browsing feature added to the site that allows users the ability to search for records regarding specific persons or places of interest mentioned withing the Granger letters.
Chronological Order : Chronological order is a browsing feature added to the site that allows users to move through the Granger letters by the date they were written. This functionality provides a temporal continuity conducive to historical writings.
Search : Search is a recently added functionality to the site. Clicking the Search navigational hyperlink anywhere within the site will take you to a cgi search interface. Enter your query into the search field (ex: Red Jacket) and click enter. The results of the query will then be listed on the page. The list of results corresponds to specific pages within the site which contain information pertinent to the query. (This feature is currently disabled.)
Introduction : Introduction is an attempt to place these assembled letters into their appropriate, historical context amidst organized, historical content. Example: [Letter of November 22, 1812]. This introduction is a slightly modified version of that employed by Charles M. Snyder, the author of one of the prime resources for explaining and displaying these letters. This modification was necessary in order to facilitate extrapolation and explanation of singular events relating to particular letters; for appropriate insertion of letters; and for simple 'artistic license'.
Forward : Forward is this collection's explanation-it's"raison d'etre"-for presenting these letters of Erastus Granger: He was an Indian Agent to the Seneca Indians; a living representation of this country's attempt to deal with Native-Americans. Obviously,this site was originally created to fulfill requirements stipulated within Information Science Course 490: Digital Libraries, here at SUNY Oswego. As this is being written it is hoped that this site is also being constructed out of inspiration.
