What this project is about:
Gabriel and I found it interesting that within folders 15 through 17, the material that we've digitized was one whole long letter. So the letters were seperated into folders with each folder containing about 19 to 23 pages. We've decided that since there were about 3 folders containing pages about the same letter, we would digitized 20 documents. The first 10 from folder 15 (1-10) and the other 10 from folder 16 (19-28). The first 10 pages of the letter briefly introduce readers/viewers to the letter indicating whom he is addressing the letter to and talks about why and how the city became to be known as Buffalo, New York. The other 10 pages of the letter mainly focused on Natives Americans and how the city of New York became known as New Amsterdam.
