This site was created for the Digital Libraries (ISC-490) final project. It composed of creating a digital library to preserve documents found in SUNY Oswego's special collections department. Our assigned collection was Millard Fillmore's personal letters.
The creators of this website, Ryan Shedd and Jeff Von Hendy were responsible for the digitization of this data, as well as digitally representing it.
The first step was to scan the selected documents in. Then came the ardous task of deciphering the letters. Finally came the creation of this website.
Currently, there are several dozen boxes full of Millard Fillmore's letters. This is but a small collection of them. To see more, please visit the links page.
F.A.Q. Q: How do I download the letters? A: Click on the thumbnail of the appropriate image, and then right click, and choose Save As.
