Toledo, April 3rd, 1861
My Dear Brother Millard,
Your kind letter containing a substantial evidence of your kindness
in the shape of a bond for $500 was received yesterday for which allowed
me to express my sincere gratitude. The security I spoke of you shall
have as soon as it can be exerted.
____ had croop again (yes) Tuesday morning about 4 o' clock but it
was a slight attack + yielded easily to treatment. He seems quite smart
today.
Ariel is intending to visit Chattanooga in a week or two. I do not
know whether he will visit Buffalo but presume he will. It seems sad
to think that
