Welcome to Penfield Library! The information below is for visitors not affiliated with SUNY Oswego, but who wish to use the library's collections and/or services.
Circulation (Borrowing)

Computers
- Visitors are welcome to use the library's desktop computers. Ask a Librarian to log you on with a guest account and explain applicable restrictions.
- Printing is available for $0.15 per page. Please pay for printouts at the Check-Out & Reserves Desk.
- Due to network security issues, visitors cannot be logged in as a community member using their personal laptop, or a mobile device.
Databases
- Visitors may use library databases using the library's computers. Please ask a librarian at the Research Help Desk to log you in as a community user. Due to database licensing restrictions, off campus access is not available to visitors. Please see your local public library for remote access to electronic resources.
- Residents of New York State may also wish to make use of:
- New York *State* Library databases, available with a New York Drivers License

- Reference Resources - many are unrestricted. Those with URL's starting with "http://ezproxy.oswego.edu:2048" require SUNY Oswego Laker NetID accounts.
- Research Help. Librarians will be happy to help you with research questions via any of our Ask a Librarian services. However, our priorities will be to SUNY Oswego students, faculty, and staff.
