Photocopy Services
Penfield Library offers a wide range of photocopy options. Self service coin-operated copiers are conveniently located on the first floor. Specialized services are listed below.
Self-Service Copiers
Location:
First floor, to the left after you enter past the Circulation Desk.
Microform machines (fiche and film), to the left and front of the second floor Periodicals/Media desk. SUNY Oswego affiliated users may also scan their own microforms for free or request up to 50 pages be scanned by using the microform copy request form.
Rates:
15 cents per copy for 8 1/2 x 11" or 8 1/2 x 14" paper. 20 cents per copy for 11x17 paper.
Sizes:
All Xerox copiers offer a choice of paper sizes. Black and white copies can be made on 8 1/2 x 11", 8 1/2 x 14", or 11 x 17". For color copies, please visit the Copy Center in the Campus Center.
Change:
Available from the $1 bill changer near the first floor copier.
Copiers accept $1 and $5 bills, with change returned in coins. Copiers also accept $10 and $20 bills when adding value (no change returned) to copy cards.
The Circulation Desk staff will provide change for bills up to $20.
Refunds:
Available at the Circulation Desk. Refunds are NOT made in cases of user error: incorrect positioning of original, incorrect copy size or incorrect exposure setting. Refunds for reason of copy quality are limited to $1 or less. Users are responsible for reporting problems immediately.
Assistance:
Available at the Circulation Desk. Please be patient, as staffing does not always permit an immediate response. Microfilm and microfiche copier assistance is available at the second floor Periodicals/Media Desk. Copy staff schedule available at the Circulation Desk.
Bulk Copies & Color Copies:
Available from the Copy Center in the Campus Center. Alternatively, obtain a portable scanner (scan B&W and color) at the Circulation Desk.
Specialized Services
Requests for specialized services should be made at the Circulation Desk. The material to be copied must be left, with a completed request form and payment. Services will be performed by our staff, Monday-Friday mornings. Requests in after 12 noon will be available the next weekday.
Reduction/Enlargement:
From 64% to 141% of the original. This feature is available on all Xerox copiers. Users who reduce or enlarge photocopies by themselves assume full responsibility.
Transparencies:
50 cents each, on OUR transparencies only. Material to be copied must be "camera ready." Additional charges apply for reduction/enlargement before a transparency is made.
