360 Search

Federated Search Service

(articles and books) is available as a service of Penfield Library. Access it via:

1. A 360 Search list of Subjects

   Click on the subject area, choose the databases you want searched, enter your search term(s) and then click on the search box.

   OR

2. Penfield's Research Subject Guides

   Click on the subject area and then the 360 Search (Quick Search)link. Choose the databases you want searched, enter your search term(s), and then click on the search box.

   OR

3. A 360 Search list of Databases

   Choose the databases you want searched, enter your search term(s), and then click on the search box.

    

 

Facts you should know:

• Federated search means looking in more than one database simultaneously.
• You MUST choose either ALL the databases displayed or specific ones.  Your search will not be executed until you do so.
• 360 Search COMBINES the results in a single list.  Be specific.  A broad search may result in tens of thousands of articles/books.
• Not all databases available via Penfield are included in 360 Search. For a list of all databases, see our A-Z list.
