2.9 Search Strategies - Narrowing Your Search by Adding Limits

Most databases offer you options for narrowing your search by adding limits, or special requirements, for the items that are retrieved. Often this is easiest on an "advanced search" screen.

Possible limits often include date, specific journal title, or format of resource. When you add a limit to your search the Boolean AND is assumed, and all of your results will be required to have that characteristic.
