2.6 Search Strategies - Subject or Keyword Searching?
If you chose the subject search in Infotrac, you were searching for one of a predetermined group of words and phrases, called subject headings, which describe the content of a resource.
Subject headings are very helpful in focusing your research, since resources on similar topics are assigned the same subject headings.
From a relevant article that you have located, you may want to check out some of the related items linked at the bottom of the individual records.
Not enough results? One strategy for expanding your results list is to try a keyword search (choose this from the main Infotrac screen). A keyword search will look for titles and abstracts, as well as subjects, that match your search terms.
