1.1 Expectations
Working your way through the tutorial is best done in a sequential manner, since each lesson is based on the knowledge and skills gained in previous lessons. Upon completion, you should be able to meet the following objectives:
- Select appropriate databases in which to search for journal articles.
- Search using keywords, Boolean AND operator, subject headings and other appropriate limits.
- Using a bibliographic citation, retrieve the source from the library shelf, an online database, or through Interlibrary Loan.
- Evaluate sources using the following criteria: authority, appropriateness, timeliness, and usefulness/relevance.
- Use correct reference and citation format.
- Access Library services and resources.
