GST 300 - Library Research Techniques
 

This course aims for student development of effective research skills relevant for library research at Oswego and other academic institutions, utilizing print and electronic information resources. Emphasis is placed on the application of these skills to individual research interests. Evaluation of information and information sources is also stressed.

It is strongly recommended that this course be taken in conjunction with another course that requires the student to do a research paper or project. Students who enroll must be of junior/senior standing, or gain permission of the instructor. An IT (Instructional Technologies) computer account is also required.

This is a one credit, 3rd quarter course, offered in the Spring semester. The class meets Tuesdays from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. in Library Instruction Room 2.
