Citation and Style Guides

Your professor may require you to cite your sources using a particular citation manual or style guide. Typical examples of citation manuals and style guides include Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers (MLA), the Chicago Manual of Style, and A Manual for Writers of Term Papers, Theses and Dissertations by Kate Turabian. For more information and examples of how to cite some materials, please go to the library's Citing Your Sources page. Remember, these only provide typical and common examples. If you do not see an example of what you need to cite, the manuals are available in the library at the Research Help Desk or copies are available to be checked out.
