Because of the potential damage to library materials, Penfield Library has a food and drink policy which is enforced by library personnel.

Food, and beverages in uncovered containers, are NOT permitted within the library, and, if found, may be confiscated by library staff.

The exceptions to this policy are:

• Consumption of food and beverages in uncovered containers is permitted in the 24-hour room (There are beverage vending machines in this room), and in the Library's Cafe'.
• ALL beverages, as well as food, are NOT allowed in the in Campus Technology Services' computer lab.
• Beverages in covered containers are permitted in all other library areas.

We need your cooperation. Our hope is that this policy will benefit all library users by preserving library materials and providing a cleaner environment for study and research.
