e-Reserves at Penfield Library are faculty-submitted materials that are converted into an electronic file by library personnel. These files are then stored on a database. This database is accessible to registered students and faculty, 24/7. e-Reserves will serve to minimize library storage concerns, maximize accessibility, and provide improved service to the SUNY Oswego distance learning community.

In addition to traditional reserves, e-Reserves will allow faculty to place other media types on reserve including PowerPoint presentations, color images, links to websites, et cetera. These files can be downloaded from the database and either printed to hardcopy or viewed electronically.
