Fines and Fees Appeal Form

Accumulated fines and fees on library patron records may not be waived or modified without authorization.


If you feel that a library fine is not justified, you may appeal it by filling out this form. Please review Penfield’s Loan Periods and Overdue Fines. Other Circulation policies can also be found on the Circulation Services page.

Reason for appeal

 

Decisions may take time as we carefully review and investigate your appeal. Library holds on your student account will remain while the Circulation Department reviews your appeal. Holds will prevent students from registering, receiving grades, and acquiring transcripts. If you need immediate assistance, please contact the Check-Out & Reserves Desk (1-315-312-2560).

The Circulation department will notify you of the outcome of your appeal via e-mail. Questions about decisions made on appeals should be directed to the Coordinator of Access Services.
