Planning a Visit to Special Collections
Please read about the collections that make up Special Collections to learn about its focus and what research you can do through our library catalog before making a trip. If you plan to visit Oswego's Special Collections during our open hours, we strongly recommend that you send us a preliminary Special Collections Inquiry or call 315-312-3537 and let us know what information you wish to access. This advance notice is important so visitors can make the best use of our limited open hours and staff can be prepared. Also, if you are planning a trip from off campus to use Special Collections, please read about driving directions to campus and obtaining a Visitor Parking Permit so you can plan ahead about how to reach us in Penfield Library.
On rare occasions, appointments may be necessary. Contact us with your inquiry. For online reference help send us a Special Collections Inquiry. Our phone is 315-312-3537. Our staff will respond to your inquiries, but this will usually take a few days. We have no full time staff in Special Collections, and there may be some days when staff are away. To reach Penfield Library's regular Research Help Desk, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 315-312-4267.
