Welcome to Journalism in the Information Age.
News professionals and scholars may be uncertain about what the newspaper of the future will look like, but they usually agree on one thing: The need for skilled reporters, editors, and news directors will continue well into the 21st. Century. Many believe the need for news professionals will be even greater as more media enter our lives.
The Journalism Program at SUNY Oswego is designed to give you the skills and flexibility you need to be a journalist in this rapidly expanding Information Age.
Our interdisciplinary program encompasses academic disciplines that have long been the strength of SUNY Oswego: Communications Studies, English Writing Arts, Graphic Design and Information Science. The curriculum is designed to introduce you to the fundamental skills of journalism as it is practiced across media.
