Oswego State Men’s Club Hockey News 

The Oswego State Men’s ACHA Club Hockey Team’s end of the season team dinner was held recently at Canale’s Restaurant in Oswego.  The Lakers honored their three seniors, Jamie Shutts (Fulton), Josh Gagnon and Ethan Ericksen, and wished them well in their futures. 

Several individual awards were announced: Junior Greg Distin (Fulton) was named to the NECHL 1^st team all stars and Jamie Shutts ( Fulton) was named to the 2^nd team.  Greg Distin was also named a national ACHA Academic All American . 

The new officers for the 2009-2010 season are President – Brad Kervin; Vice President – Brandon Clark; Secretary- Fabian Loeprick ; Treasurer- Geoff Bagnato and Special Assistant to the Organization – Aaron Belair.  Faculty Advisor is Bruce Zellar and Jay Peacock is the coach.

The Lakers are a D1 ACHA team and a member of the NECHL and were sponsored this year by Pathfinder Bank, Clean Check Hockey Shop, Wayne Drugs , the Club House Tavern and the Student Association of Oswego State University.   The team website is www.oswego.edu/icehockey.
