Season Honors
Jay Peacock, head coach of the Oswego
State Men’s Club Hockey team, has announced that two Oswego State
players have been awarded post season honors by the NECHL at their
annual meeting which was held recently at Rutgers University.
Junior
defenseman Greg Distin (Fulton) was the only Laker to make the 2009
NECHL all tournament team. He was also named to the 1st team NECHL All
Stars.
Senior
captain Jamie Shutts (Fulton) was named to the NECHL 2nd team All
Stars. He also ended his college hockey career by finishing
2nd in the league for total points (goals and assists) and he was tied
for first in total assists.
Laker
forward Tim Rinck was 1st in the league for game winning goals and
goalie Anthony Sellitti was second in the league for total minutes
played, even after missing the league tournament due to an injury.
