Jay Peacock, Head Coach for the Oswego State Men's Club Hockey Team, has announced that senior goaltender Greg Feiden has been selected to participate in the ACHA National All Star Game which will be held at Penn State University on March 29.
Feiden is only one of four goalies nationwide to be selected for the team and only one of three players from the NECHL to be selected, the other players coming from Rutgers University and SUNY Cortland. Forty players from 54 ACHA teams from across the nation will be participating in the game.
During the 2007-08 season, Greg had a record of 12-7, a goals against average of 3.32 and a very impressive save percentage of 91%. Coach Peacock feels that a large part of the success of this year's Laker Club Hockey team was due to the outstanding goaltending of Greg Feiden. The Lakers were crowned champions of the NECHL in February and had a record of 18-9 for the season. Greg was also named to the All League team and the All Tournament Team, the only league player to be named to both teams.
Several Lakers were also nominated for the Academic All American team and those selections will be announced later this month.
