Bradbury Thompson (1911-1995) was born in Topeka, Kansas and graduated from Washburn College.

With the blending of photography, typography and color, Thompson has expanded the boundries of the printed page and he has influenced the design of a generation of art directors.

The final issues of three wartime magazines, including Victory and USA, were all designed by Thompson in 1945.
