Scholarship Application and Information
Three new scholarships are now available for SUNY Oswego students for the 2012-2013 academic year! Eligibility criteria for each are listed below.
Application deadline is Monday, May 7. To apply, e-mail the SUNY Oswego General Scholarship Application form to scholar@oswego.edu. Be sure to indicate in the Subject Line to which scholarship you are applying.
James V. Tesoriero Charitable Fund Scholarship
This award will be given to 2 students, each receiving $2,000 for the 2012-2013 academic year. Applicants must:
- Be a freshman, sophomore, or junior student (having 12-86 total credits earned, including both SUNY Oswego and any transfer credits)
- Have a minimum SUNY Oswego GPA of 2.75
- Be a declared major in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences or in the School of Communication, Media and the Arts
- Be a graduate of a public high school in Oswego County
- Have financial need
Jocelyn Sokolski Egan '84 Scholarship
This award will be given to 1 student, who will receive $1,000 for the 2012-2013 academic year. Applicants must:
- Be a declared Marketing major
- Have a minimum SUNY Oswego GPA of 2.50
- Be a sophomore or junior student (having 27-86 total credits earned, including both SUNY Oswego and any transfer credits)
- Have financial need
- Demonstrate campus involvement, leadership, or service in the community or in the School of Business
- Include in their personal statement - the reason why they have chosen Marketing as a career and what their dream job is
Florence Ellen Williams Kelly '31 Scholarship
This award will be given to 1 student, who will receive $1,000 for the 2012-2013 academic year. Applicants must:
- Be a resident of New York State
- Be a declared major in the School of Education
- Be a graduate of a public high school in Oswego County
- Have a minimum SUNY Oswego GPA of 2.75
- Be a sophomore student (having 27-56 total credits earned, including both SUNY Oswego and any transfer credits)
- Have financial need in which at least half of tuition and fees are paid for by student loans
