All entering freshmen, most new transfers, and those returning students who were not transfers when they entered Oswego should follow our GE2000 program, which meets SUNY-wide mandates for general education that were developed by the SUNY Board of Trustees.
A small number of students adhere to our GE1998 program, which was implemented for incoming freshmen in 1998-99 and 1999-2000, and for virtually all transfers between 1999-2000 and 2001-2002.
A very few advanced seniors are satisfying the requirements of what we call our "old" general education program. It is described in previous years' catalogs and course registration newspaper centerfolds for earlier years, as well as on this web page.
