This Series will help you...

· Consider cultural aspects of work, life and leadership
· Understand the contradictions in your life and how as imbalances, they impact stress and productivity
· Learn how being true to yourself can improve every aspect of your life
This empowerment series is designed for you. In an environment of support and camaraderie, we focus on enriching the personal and professional aspects of our lives and building skills to support success. As women's roles in culture and in the workplace have evolved over time, the necessary support systems have not kept pace with our changing needs.
More than ever, women are searching for balance and fulfillment in their personal and professional lives. The reality is that these two worlds are an intertwined, symbiotic relationship, with one world affecting the other. There are some basic principles that universally apply to both worlds. The scope of the mini-retreats is to help, inspire and transform the individual, and position her for fulfillment and success in various facets of life.
Each full-day mini retreat is a practical skill - building session, and involves ‘understanding, applying, and practicing': Concepts and ideas are introduced, participants internalize and make connections to the relevance in their lives, and helpful tools and techniques are learned and practiced with the goal of changing the mindset and behavior. Sessions compliment and build on one another in a cohesive progression, however each session has a specific focus and can stand alone.
Trainer: Sue Conklin
The fourth session focuses on growth and change. The session begins with participants discussing their personal and professional identity: roles and goals. Participants will complete a personal inventory identifying strengths, priorities, and areas for improvement. The session progresses to understanding how mentoring and support systems contribute to success and fulfillment, and participants focus on building skills for navigating their career paths and managing change in various aspects of their lives. Skill building includes critical inquiry and mindful listening, in order to cultivate and manage relationships. The take away from this session is a personal vision statement that provides guidance for personal and professional growth, and a template for mentoring relationships.

The take away from this session is a personal stress management plan that includes methods for relaxation and stress reduction for use in both professional and personal lives.
The third session focuses on rejuvenation, planning, and building momentum. The session begins with participants identifying personal and professional needs, current situations, and the resulting gaps. The session then progresses to setting goals and establishing metrics for measurement with techniques for prioritization, problem solving, and decision making.
