Online Degrees

Want to earn a degree on your time, from your place?

An online learning degree program consists of courses delivered strictly in a web-based format. SUNY Oswego participates in the statewide asynchronous SUNY Learning Network (SLN). Asynchronous learning provides the flexibility to earn college credit where and when it fits your schedule. This means students with access to the Internet can “attend” class from anywhere, at any time that is convenient to them.

SLN courses are not self-paced. As with the traditional classroom, students are part of a larger learning community made up of students enrolled in the same course. All students follow a syllabus and a course schedule.

Faculty will often provide guidelines for how often you should log in to the course, and they may specify how they will evaluate your participation. The time of day or night that you choose to participate is up to you.

Currently we offer the following degree programs:

In addition to fully online degree programs, we also offer a number of individual courses from a variety of degree programs, at both the graduate and undergraduate level.  During fall and spring semesters, we offer approximately 75 online courses; 35 during WinterSession; and 100 during Summer Sessions.
