Extended Learning

If you wish to register for a fall or spring evening degree or online course but are, at present, restricted from doing so, please click on this link and then submit your request (online) to be allowed to register. You will be notified of our decision approximately a week prior to the start of the semester.
At the Division of Extended Learning our mission is to present you with the opportunity to benefit from the educational resources available at SUNY Oswego.
Our office serves the needs of part-time students and working adults who are interested in pursuing an undergraduate degree by taking courses during evenings and weekends as well as online. We also are responsible for SUNY Oswego's Summer and Winter Session courses which provide students with the opportunity to take courses outside of the standard fall and spring semesters thus enabling them to get a head start on the next semester, stay on track or even catch up.
Curricular offerings include credit-bearing and non-credit bearing courses. These courses are offered on a part-time basis on campus, online and off campus at the Metro Center in downtown Syracuse, the Phoenix Center at Oswego's Industrial Park or in the North Country. We also offer some "short" professional development training courses, with durations of one week to several weeks.
Whether you are interested in evening courses, professional development options, or anything in between, we can help.
Want to talk to someone?
If you're thinking about joining us as a part-time student and have some questions, you may find it helpful to meet with one of our academic advisors to review your goals and examine your options. Please call us at 315-312-2270 or email us at extlearn@oswego.edu to talk with an advisor over the phone or to schedule an in-person meeting.
