SUNY Oswego Wireless Configuration Instructions for Macintosh Computers
One-time only instructions: Please note the following steps are for the very first time you access the SUNY Oswego wireless network. This is a one-time configuration. After your device has been properly configured for the wireless network, you will simply need to authenticate with your Laker NetID to get connected.
1) While in a SUNY Oswego wireless-enabled space, view your wireless networks and connect to "Oswego-Setup."

2) Once you are connected to "Oswego-Setup," launch a web browser, such as Safari or Firefox. The browser should automatically take you to the "SUNY Oswego Wireless Configuration" web page shown below. On this page, click the "Click here to have your device automatically configured" link to start the configuration process.

3) A new window will open similar to the one below. If you agree to the end-user license agreement, click the checkbox in the lower right of the window and then click the “Start” button. This will start the process of loading the automatic configuration wizard called “XpressConnect.”

4) In the next window, click the “Click here to load XpressConnect” link.

5) XpressConnect will start downloading. You may be asked about trusting a security certificate. If so, click the “Trust” button.

6) Continue following the on-screen instructions for your computer.
7) Eventually, you will be asked for a Name and Password. This is the Name and Password local to your Macintosh computer, NOT your Laker NetID (you will be asked for that at a later point).

8) It will then go through some configuration steps, connect to the “Oswego-Secure” network and ask you for your 802.1X authentication. When you see the following window, enter your Laker NetID and password.

9) You should now be connected to the wireless network. The system will automatically launch your default web browser and take you to the SUNY Oswego home page.
10) The next time you connect to the SUNY Oswego wireless network (and everytime thereafter), the system will automatically connect to the "Oswego-Secure" network and ask you for your 802.1X authentication. Simply enter your Laker NetID and password and you are connected!
