My personal computer needs hardware repair. Can you help? Why don’t I get an answer when I call the TSC office?
My personal computer needs hardware repair. Can you help?
Unfortunately, Technology Support Center is authorized only to examine and/or diagnose hardware problems with campus-owned machines.
If your personal computer is having hardware problems, we recommend you contact your vendor if the computer is still under warranty. If the computer is no longer under warranty, you can check the Yellow Pages for a computer repair shop, or obtain a list of local shops from the Technology Support Center in 26 Lanigan Hall.
Why don’t I get an answer when I call your office?
There could be several reasons you do not get an answer. Our lines may already be in use, or our techs may be assisting users within the office area.
In these circumstances, you will be placed into our call queue system. Please stay on the line and a tech will answer your call in the order it was received. Hanging up and calling back repeatedly will shuffle you to the rear of the call queue, so staying on hold is recommended, if you are able.
Regardless of the reason, please leave us voice mail if you call after-hours. If you leave a detailed message with your personal information, we will call you back as soon as possible.
