Computer Workshops
Throughout the semester Campus Technology Services offers a series of one-hour, hands-on workshops on various computer topics. These workshops are offered free of charge and all members of the college community are welcome to attend. To ensure an optimal learning enviroment, class size is limited to 25 and pre-registration is required.
Online Software Training
Skillport (formerly SmartForce) is a set of individualized online courses. Oswego State contracts for access to approximately 800 online training courses available to SUNY Oswego faculty, staff, and students for professional development and/or use in classes. There are a range of information technology and business courses ranging from popular computer software such as Microsoft Office and Windows XP to human resources, marketing, communication, customer service, and project management courses.
SUNY Training Center
SUNY Oswego is a member of the SUNY Training Center (SUNY TC), located in Syracuse, NY. SUNY TC is a component of Advanced Learning and Information Services in the office of the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. The SUNY TC is a special-purpose, system-wide organization within SUNY that promotes the use of leading-edge educational technologies throughout the State University. The Center makes training and professional development available on a diverse list of multi-media systems and hundreds of software programs.
