 Cable Television

"Taking Steps for the Future"

Campus Technology Services provides the college with the 750 MHz broadband television service via fiber optic backbone. Terrestrial broadcast signals from Rochester, Syracuse and Watertown, NY and Kingston, Ont. are combined with service provider, satellite services and campus channels to provide two services, one for academic buildings (chs 2-25) and the other for residential buildings (chs 2-72). CTS uses its own channels for academic playbacks and teleconferences (96-99). SUNY Oswego is also under contract with the local cable company, Time Warner of Oswego to provide Public-Government and Educational Access channels. The contract currently also provides for the availability of studio time.
