The SUNY Oswego College network connects all academic, residential, and service buildings together on campus. Each year there is between 6000 and 7000 computers connected to our campus network. Each building is connected via a 1000M gigabit fiber connection into our network backbone. Most buildings have redundant connections to multiple backbone aggregation points.
SUNY Oswego is connected to the Internet via an OC3 running faster than two T3 line speed (95M). You can access the Internet from multiple public computer labs on campus, marked wireless locations, and from a computer in your room that has been connected to ResNet, allowing convenient access to online services and information from the comfort of your own room. We also offer free dial-up modem usage over the phone line in your room if you choose not to subscribe to the ResNet service.
