Taking Steps for the Future
ResNet is SUNY Oswego's Residential Network offered in the campus Residence Hall rooms. ResNet service allows you a dedicated wired connection to the campus network (and the Internet) right from your Residence Hall room. At least one 10Mbps data connection is provided in each residence room on campus.
Announcements:
- Starting with the Spring 2013 semester, desktop editions of Windows 8 are compatible with both Cisco NAC and the wireless network. Surface tablets and Windows RT-based devices will require manual configuration; instructions for these devices will soon be posted to the landing page on our "Oswego-Setup" access points.
- Starting with the Spring 2013 semester, wireless Interenet access is available in every residence hall, except for Onondaga. CTS will be working on adding wireless to Onondaga Hall during the summer of 2013.
- For Apple 10.7+ users wanting to use the wireless network, Apple did not natively install Java in Lion which is required for the wireless network. You can download and install Java fom here.
