"WebNews Email Account Update" is a phishing scam
On occasion, a phishing email will slip past our anti-spam appliance and into your email account. These emails are designed by malicious individuals to look authoritative, and always make requests for personal info in order to confirm/renew/extend common internet services.
CTS does not make such requests via the campus email system.

Vista SP1 and Cisco Clean Access
Starting today, Microsoft is offering Service Pack 1 for Vista operating systems via the Windows Update website. This service pack makes significant modifications to the present operating systems.
Resnet users are advised to opt out of applying Vista SP1 until Cisco has evaluated and tested them against their Clean Access software. Generally, this testing period runs approximately 45 days from public release.
If Resnet users elect to install Vista SP1 on their own, we cannot guarantee their computers will function properly with Cisco Clean Access.
When Cisco's team is done testing these new products, we will post an announcement to this alerts page.
