Article I - Membership and Objectives

Article II - Practices and Meetings
A - At-large meetings are held once a week at a location decided during the beginning of the semester by the executive board. The meetings are held to keep the team and the officers abreast of the development of the organization. They will also serve as a forum to address all pertinent issues brought up by students involved in the club, and a means of recruitment for students interested in the club.
B - The Vice-President will call the meeting to order at a previously designated time, and will begin by addressing all issues and presenting all materials he or she deems appropriate. The treasurer will be expected to give a financial report at every meeting which outlines the financial status of the organization. The men's and women's captains respectively are expected to brief the team on the practice schedule for the following week, and any other pertinent information that affects the well being of the team. All remaining officers and team members will proceed with their comments afterwards as the need arises. General members will always have the opportunity to offer ideas or suggestions.
Article III - Elected Officers
A - To be eligible for an elected position, a member must have exercised a semester's worth of commitment to the organization. A student prepared to student teach during the next executive board term will not be eligible to hold an officer's position. A candidate also must be a full-time student during the next executive board term to meet the eligibility standards.
B - The nominations process will be carried out yearly during the meeting following the final race of the fall semester. Nominees will be given the opportunity to either accept or decline their nomination. The team must be notified through Facebook of the final slate of candidates during the night they are decided. This will allow members of the team time to reflect on who they would like to vote for. Voting members (as explained in Article III, Part C) will be given the responsibility of nominating candidates.
C - Quorum must exist for the nominations process to be carried out. It must also exist for the voting process to be carried out. Quorum, for the organization's purposes, will be defined as half the eligible voters on the team (50%) plus one member. A voting member is defined as a member that regularly attends practices. The definition of "regular attendance" will be determined by the executive board.
D -Voting will occur yearly during the meeting following the nominations process. Depending upon the situation, the candidate that attains either a plurality or majority of the votes will win the position. In the event of a tie, a run-off election will be held.
E - The term of any newly elected officer will begin two weeks following election and will end two weeks after the election of the following semester's officers. Previous officers will retain an advisory status to assist the new officers in learning their duties and responsibilities. However, new officers can choose to refuse previous officer's help.
Article IV - Impeachment
A - Any member that feels an officer should be impeached must bring it up at an at-large meeting. They must be prepared with a written statement which indicates the reasons for impeachment. The officer in question must be notified of the prospects of their impeachment, and must be given an opportunity to defend their position. Upon this opportunity, voting members will be given the opportunity to vote on the impeachment proceedings.
B - All impeachment proceedings are subject to the jurisdiction of the Student Association Supreme Court. If an officer has missed three at-large meetings, the impeachment procedures may commence.
C - If impeachment is passed by a plurality or majority of voting members, the nominations process will be carried out, followed by the voting process. The duration of the replacement officer's term will be the remaining period of the current term.
