Welcome to Oswego State Capoeira.

Capoeira is an
Afro-Brazilian martial art. It blends a mix of
fighting, dancing, and music to create something
beautiful and deadly. Capoeira is not only a martial
art, but also a culture, a philosophy, and a family.
We welcome all of you to become a part of that family.
No previous martial arts experience is needed, only
long loose pants, a t-shirt, and motivation to learn.
If you're interested in attending a practice, even if
it's just to watch, or want to know when our next
upcoming event is, please contact Anj at
ruggirel@oswego.edu.
"Now, the flame of this beautiful art is also in your
hands. You can dampen it, you can burn yourself or
your brothers and sisters, or, afraid of its heat, you
can let go of it. I hope that you take good care of
your Capoeira and kindle this fire alive and powerful,
enlightening your life."
