If you’re like us, you are subscribed to numerous mailing lists. Often, some of the discussion threads are irrelevant or uninteresting, but you don’t want to unsubscribe from the mailing list in order to avoid them.

Luckily, Gmail has a “mute” feature that will allow you to suppress these discussions from your inbox. Simply select a conversation and choose “Mute” from the “More Actions” menu.
