Lakers snap SUNYAC losing skid with doubleheader sweep at Potsdam
Oswego State broke a 2-2 deadlock in the top of the fourth inning when junior first baseman Laura Agle (Eden) drove in freshman Brittany Carbacio (Pennellville/Phoenix) from third base on a fielders choice as the Lakers snapped a six-game losing streak in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) play with a 3-2 triumph over host SUNY Potsdam in game one of a doubleheader. Oswego completed the sweep with a 9-2 victory in the nightcap.

Lakers SUNYAC woes continue with doubleheader losses at Geneseo
The Oswego State softball team suffered its third straight doubleheader sweep in SUNYAC play in dropping a pair of games to SUNY Geneseo on Thursday, April 23 in Geneseo. The Lakers (7-19, 2-14) dropped a hard luck 1-0 decision in game one, while suffering a 10-2 loss in the nightcap.

Lakers drop SUNYAC doubleheader at Brockport
The Oswego State softball team saw their four-game win streak come to an end in dropping both games of a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) doubleheader at the College at Brockport on Friday, April 17. The Lakers (7-15, 2-10 SUNYAC) lost the opening game, 2-1, after Brockport scored both runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, and dropped the nightcap, 9-0 in five innings after the Golden Eagles (23-6-1, 12-2 SUNYAC) scored five runs in the final two innings.

Lakers extend win streak to four games with doubleheader sweep of Utica
The Oswego State softball team extended its longest winning streak of the season with a non-conference doubleheader sweep of host Utica College on Wednesday, April 15. The Lakers posted a 5-1 triumph in the opening game and followed with a 10-6 win in the nightcap.

Lakers suffer double shutouts to ninth-ranked Cortland
CORTLAND, N.Y. – Freshman Lyndsay Rowell (Sandy Creek) pitched a three-hit shutout and sophomore Katie Fusco (Lake Ronkonkoma/Sachem North) homered and drove in three runs as nationally ninth-ranked Cortland defeated Oswego, 7-0, in the second game of a SUNYAC doubleheader. The Red Dragons (20-2, 4-0 SUNYAC) also won the opener, 5-0, as junior Katie Finch (Amsterdam/Broadalbin-Perth) and junior Diana Perez (Blauvelt/Tappan Zee) combined on a four-hitter.
