Oswego State men's basketball coach Kevin Broderick

Kevin Broderick is in his 12th season as the Oswego State men's basketball coach in the 2007-08 season. Broderick and his staff have established the Lakers as a consistent and exciting basketball program. The Lakers have qualified for the ECAC post-season tournament the last six seasons and won the ECAC Championship in 2005. Oswego State has qualified for the SUNYAC Tournament eight of the last nine seasons, and the Lakers finished third in the SUNYAC last season with a 10-6 record and 17-13 overall mark. Broderick, who earned SUNYAC Coach of the Year Honors in 1996-97, guided both the 1996-97 and 2001-02 Laker squads to the SUNYAC Championship game. The Lakers have earned a reputation for aggressive play, defensive intensity, and exciting fast-break basketball under Broderick's tutelage.

Broderick came to Oswego State with an impressive resume as a player and assistant coach. He was named New York State Small Schools Player of the Year in 1985 at Bishop Cunningham High School and ranked in the top six in the country in assists at Nazareth College in both 1987-88 and 1988-89. He served as an assistant coach for two seasons at Canisius (1994-96) and one season each at Genesee Community College (1993-94), Le Moyne College (1991-92), and Nazareth College (1989-90).

Broderick, who also serves as Assistant Athletic Director at Oswego State, resides in Oswego with his wife Jennifer and sons Brendan, Patrick, and Ryan.
