Course Description

The course will be different than previous years due to construction around campus.  The start and finish will be conducted in Hidden Fields, which is entirely grass.  The rest of the course will be run through campus; passed the library, a few dorms, the campus lagoon and Lake Ontario.  We have done our best to keep the race on grass as much as possible to limit the amount of road areas.  The course is flat and should produce fast times as it has in the past.  We have stayed away from dangerous areas of the construction process on campus, which is why we are running shorter courses .

Entry Fee

A fee of $65 per gender ($130 total team) or $10 a runner (up to four runners and then full fee).  Alumni and Open Race is free and open to all ages and abilities.  Please bring cash or checks made out to SUNY Oswego to the meet at the check-in or mail them to:

Registration

Unlimited number per team/gender.  Please email (or fax at 315-312-6397) all eligible runners’ names to head coach Andrew Hunsinger (andrew.hunsinger@oswego.edu) no later than Wednesday, September 9th at 5:00pm.

Scoring

All scoring and results will be done by the Oswego State Cross Country coaching staff using Hy-Tek Meet Manger.

Awards

Plaques will be awarded to the top two teams (men’s and women’s).  “Top 15” T-shirts will be given to those runners in each race.

Facilities

Laker Hall has changing facilities and showers in the general locker rooms.  Bring your own towels and locks.  Laker Hall is located across Rt 104 from the main campus.

Athletic Trainers

Athletic trainers will be available on site.  Please bring your own supplies.  Any questions or specific requests may be directed to head trainer Gary Fulsaas at fulsaas@oswego.edu or 315-312-2511.

Directions to Oswego

From the North
Take I-81 South to Route 104 (Exit 34). Follow 104 West through the city of Oswego to our campus.

From the East
Take I-90 (the New York State Thruway) West to Route 481 North (Exit 34A near Syracuse). Proceed north on 481 through Fulton to Route 104 (Bridge Street) in downtown Oswego. Make a left onto Route 104 and follow through Oswego to campus.

From the South
Take Route I-81 North to 481 North (Exit 16A in Syracuse). Proceed north on Route 481 through Fulton to Route 104 (Bridge Street) in downtown Oswego. Make a left onto Route 104 and follow through Oswego to campus.

From the West
Take I-90 (the New York State Thruway) east to Route 34 North (exit 40 in Weedsport). Take a left where the Thruway exit meets Route 34 and travel north to Route 104. Take a right onto Route 104 and follow to campus.
