Men's Cross Country Finishes Sixth At University of Rochester Invitational
The Oswego State men’s cross country team finished sixth out of 15 teams with 195 points at the 8K University of Rochester Invitational on Saturday. Geneseo took first place honors with 39 points followed by the University of Rochester at 56 points.
Mike Bott (Jr., Camilius, N.Y.) returned to the front of the Laker pack as he clocked a time of 26:25 for 31st place out of 178 runners. Jeff Rozler (Fr., Bemus Point, N.Y.) was second on the squad at 45th place with a time of 26:42.
Select members of the women’s cross country team also participated in the 5K race. Angeleen Tauriello (Fr., Rochester, N.Y.) was the top finisher for the women as she crossed the finish line in 21:07 for 51st place out of 115 competitors.
Oswego State will not compete next weekend as the squad prepares for the SUNYAC Championships hosted by Cortland on Saturday, October 31.
