Armstrong finishes 13th at NCAA championships in javelin

Oswego State senior Heidi Armstrong finished 13th overall in the women’s javelin competition at the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships on May 24 in Osh Kosh, Wis. Armstrong’s best effort in the javelin preliminaries was a throw of 38.15 meters.

Armstrong ranked eighth in her flight and 13th overall. The top eight overall performers after the preliminaries advanced to the finals and earned All-American recognition. Lisa Brown from Gustavus Adolphus won the women’s javelin individual national championship with a throw of 53.17 meters.
