Armstrong sets school record, betters NCAA standing

Oswego State senior Heidi Armstrong broke a school record that she already owned, and set a new personal best of 40.88 meters in the javelin. That was a personal best, Oswego State record, and improved her standing among NCAA championship meet qualifiers, where she is currently ranked 11th nationally.

Other strong performances from Lakers in the limited-field “last chance” meet were turned in by Josh Galletta, who jumped 6.52 meters in the long jump, which was a personal best and met the ECAC qualifying standard.

Megan Boggan ran a personal best time of 12.83 seconds in the 100 meter dash, which met the ECAC qualifying standard.

The next meet for the Lakers is the ECAC Championship meet, scheduled for May 15=16 at Springfield College in Springfield, Mass.
