Lakers in the Classroom
Recognizing significant academic achievement by student-athletes
The Oswego State athletics department is proud to recognize the academic achievements of our student-athletes by introducing the Lakers in the Classroom section at the official athletics Web site.
The section salutes individals and teams who have been honored for their work in the classroom. The honorees during the 2006-07 academic year included 168 Lakers who earned the Award of Academic Excellence, 151 student-athletes named to the SUNYAC All-Academic Teams, and 53 student-athletes who were named to the Commissioner’s List.
Readers can also find out about the people and groups dedicated to helping Lakers attain academic success including the faculty mentors, the CHAMPS/Life Skills program, and academic support services.
