The athletics department works with other offices and programs on campus to bolster learning opportunities for student-athletes. Some of these partners are listed below.
Writing Center (106 Poucher Hall, x5758): This office provides tutorial sessions for students who want to improve their writing skills. Developmental courses and seminar instruction in Writing and English For Speakers of Other Languages is also offered.
Learning Skills Center (106 Poucher Hall, x5758): Professional staff are available to assist students in developing effective note-taking, test-taking and textbook-reading skills.
Math Center (106 Poucher Hall, x5758): Special instruction, tutorial sessions and a computer lab are offered to students who apply for assistance in mathematics courses.
Penfield Library (x4267): Penfield Library offers a multitude of services and materials, as it remains one of the most extensive resources of information on the campus. Library instruction is also provided.
Disability Services (226 Hewitt Union, x3358): This office provides accommodations for SUNY Oswego students with documented psychological, physical and learning disabilities. The services offered give disabled students equal access to the quality education that traditional students have.
Student Advisement Center (501 Culkin Hall, x2240): This center provides the student body with a variety of services. Students come here with questions regarding anything from the Code of Student Rights to academic advisement and scheduling problems. It serves as an excellent resource for undeclared students, veterans and students with disabilities and international students.
Peer Tutor Program (106 Poucher Hall, x5758): Peer tutoring is available in most academic subjects. Visit the Office of Learning Service's tutoring page for more information and a downloadable form.
