The Performing Arts at Oswego pages and the content within are produced by ARTSwego, a collaboration of students, faculty and administration, whose goal is to support the presentation of cultural programs for the campus and community.
Mission
ARTSwego serves as a catalyst for high quality arts programs that enhance the cultural environment of the college and augment academic offerings. It seeks to introduce students to arts forms and performances different from those offered by the mass market. ARTSwego also serves as a bridge between the campus and community. It supports the development of collaborative and interdisciplinary programs that serve to foster patterns of life-long learning and promote cross-cultural understanding.
Student Arts Fee
ARTSwego administers the use of the student arts fee and invites faculty, staff and student organizations to apply for funding to support visiting artists and film directors, a living writers series, a performing arts series and music from classical chamber music to an Indie series sponsored jointly with WNYO. It also provides partial support for exhibitions in Tyler Art Gallery. For more information contact artswego@oswego.edu or call 315-312-4581.
