File to Graduate

The Registrar's Office has sent letters to prospective graduates with instructions and information on how to file online for graduation. Once the student has signed in, the graduation application form is linked to the student's account.

The deadline dates for filing are Oct. 1 for May 2013 commencement; Feb. 1, 2013, for August 2013 graduation (no ceremony); and April 1, 2013, for December 2013 commencement. Students are not automatically placed on a graduation list; it is the student's responsibility to make sure that he or she files online by the appropriate deadline or contacts the Registrar's Graduation Area for help.

Save the Date: Family and Friends Weekend

Plan a visit to Oswego Oct. 19 to 21 for Family and Friends Weekend. For more than two decades, this special event has provided the first opportunity to visit with family and friends since the beginning of the semester. Events include performances, an open skate and many activities fit for parents and children of all ages.

Students, Parents Invited to Participate in Co-op

Parents are invited to be a part of Oswego's trailblazing multi-major co-op program, the first of its kind in the SUNY system.

Along with alumni, parents of Oswego students can be a critical part of co-op placements that will give students real-world experience and earnings. Participating students will work within a corporate culture, allowing them to try a career before graduation while developing a network of contacts and opening the door to full-time employment.

Sophomore, junior and senior students with a competitive GPA and passion for developing professionalism in their chosen field are invited to apply for the program. Parents, please consider collaborating with SUNY Oswego to find the best employees for your employer or business. Email the co-op for more information.
