Art, Animals, ‘Bees' on Tap for Family and Friends Weekend
Family and friends visiting campus Oct. 21 to 23 once again have an exciting weekend planned for them with programs including extreme art, friendly animals and hilarious "bees."
The annual Friends and Family Weekend will include standards like men's and women's hockey games, the Lee Hall pool movie and late-night open skate. In addition, the Theatre Department will present its rendition of the Tony-winning musical "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," extreme artist collective Splash! Animals will perform and the Seneca Park Zoo crew will have an animal meet and greet program.
"We like to offer families and guests the opportunity to experience the campus mid-semester at the height of fall activity," said Kelly Perkins, marketing and communications coordinator for the Office of Campus Life. "We realize that Family and Friends Weekend participants have different interests and we want to be able to offer them something they would enjoy."
The Oswego Alumni Association invites alumni and their children who are current students to attend an open house and reception 3 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at King Alumni Hall. The reception includes a tour and hor d'oeuvres. Reservations for this free special event are required by Friday, Oct. 14.
Register and be sure and make your hotel reservations early as accommodations fill up quickly.
