Oswego's Reunion Weekend shattered attendance records for the second year in a row with nearly 1,400 alumni returning to campus in 2009. Volunteers can help make Oswego a summer destination once again in 2010.

Reunion 2010 is slated for June 11 to 13, but the Oswego Alumni Association needs the help of class planning volunteers to gather another record-breaking crowd. Support as an organizer for the biggest annual Oswego State alumni event is a crucial part of keeping our campus community vibrant and our graduates engaged, said Betsy Oberst, associate vice president for alumni relations and stewardship.

Reunion Class Volunteers help plan activities for the weekend, including special events for their graduation year or group. With the help of volunteers networking with their classmates and friends, the attendee list and anticipation for Reunion 2010 will grow quickly.

There are many opportunities to get involved, no matter where volunteers live or how much time they have to give. With e-mail, fax and phone, volunteers can contribute ideas even if they live too far away to make it to the planning meetings.

This year's milestone reunion classes include 1935, 1940, 1945, 1950, 1955, 1960, 1965, 1970, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1985, 1994, 1995, 1996 and 2000. In addition, Alpha Delta Eta, Alpha Sigma Chi, Beta Tau Epsilon, Delta Kappa Kappa, Delta Chi Omega/TKE, Men’s Football, Omega Delta Chi, Omicron Xi, Sigma Tau Chi, Sigma Gamma and Theta Chi Rho already have special events planned as well.
