It’s calling season for Oswego Telefund students!

With a highly successful 2006-07 season tucked under their belts, Telefund students are preparing to reach this year’s $324,000 goal. Last year’s Telefund exceeded its goal by $20,000 according to Associate Director of Annual Giving Jamie Stack Leszczynski '04, who attributes the campaign’s success to dedication and teamwork.

"We want to make this a fun and enjoyable experience and create a family atmosphere," said Leszczynski.

To foster that supportive environment, Leszczynski and her student team leaders create games like Telefund Baseball, where base hits and home runs represent supporter gifts. Contributions make up approximately one-third of the annual Fund for Oswego, which supports programs not covered through state resources.

Beginning in mid-September, students will begin their campaign to reach the alumni community. A current Oswego student may be in touch with you soon! Callers love to hear your stories and answer all of your Oswego questions.

So when you receive a phone call from Oswego State, we hope that you will take a few minutes to share, reminisce and get the details on the latest snowstorm.
